Oma is the Dutch word for grandmother. Amongst my mother's belongings I found some beautiful photo's of my oma. Unfortunately I only have faint memories of her. Mostly of when she was living with us after she was diagnosed with leukemia. My mom took care of her. Both my grandparents on my mom's side died young. My granddad (opa) of silicosis (he worked in the mines) when I was 10 months old and my oma when I was 3.
My mom always talked lovingly about her mom and it wasn't until she died that I realized she most have missed her mom until she died herself.
My grandmother was a young woman in the 1920's and 1930's and the fashion back then was so elegant.

I don't have photo's of my father's parents when they were young, only of when they were older.
Do you have photo's of your grandparents?
Have a nice weekend!
P.S. For those interested in the tech stuff. I used my iPhone and an app named Shoebox to scan the vintage photo's. It saves cropping (Shoebox does that) and uploading (iCloud does that). I know, I am lazy LOL. The scans are also uploaded to the site of Soebox at 1000memories.com.
Oh yes, I don't own stocks and I wasn't sponsored ;-)
