{white christmas}

Sometimes you have to be careful with what you wish for.

We are having a White Christmas!

A lot of it!

The bench in our garden. There has been snow from the beginning of December, but not that  much. The snow on the bench fell in 24 hours on Thursday and Friday night. On Friday morning I decided that going to work for about 5 hours on Friday was a bit too much of a struggle. Also because we had planned to visit H. mom in the afternoon and then pick up my sister. I knew how right I was when I brought home my sister tonight with my car. I drive a Fiat Panda which held up very nicely so far, but is no match for lots of loose snow. Up to now only the main roads are kept free from snow, but neighborhoods like mine and where my sister lives are not. Have you ever tried to turn your car in loose snow. It's a whole new experience LOL

The mountain of snow in our back yard. The snow is from several clean ups.

The weather was great today. My sister and I went for a walk after H. left for work.

Icicles hanging from our roof.

According to a neighbor there hasn't been this much snow since 1968.

Are you having a White Christmas!

Bye,

  1. Haha, yes you have to be careful with what you wish for :) It look lovely though, and for me it´s no Christmas if it´s not any snow. Here in Norway we have a lot og snow right now, and I love it!
    Enjoy a white holiday.
    Hugs, Nina

  2. Oh yes ~ Christmas was white with just a dusting to start but became whiter as the day went on. We were lucky though and were not hit with the storm that hit the rest of the East coast here, we only received 4" or so.
    Hope your Christmas was lovely ~ Rebecca
